My opinion: Pretty good, although not my favorite. Still worth watching, though!

Summary: A midwestern teacher questions his sexuality after a former student makes a comment about him at the Academy Awards.
My opinion: Absolutely hilarious!! I watched it with my sister and we were both laughing our asses off the entire time.

Summary: A prominent lawyer goes after a blackmailer who threatens gay men with exposure (homosexual acts still being illegal). But he’s gay himself…

Wilde (1997)

Summary: The story of Oscar Wilde, genius, poet, playwright and the First Modern Man. The self-realization of his homosexuality caused Wilde enormous torment as he juggled marriage, fatherhood and responsibility with his obsessive love for Lord Alfred Douglas, nicknamed Bosie. After legal action instigated by Bosie’s father, the enraged Marquise of Queensberry, Wilde refused to flee the country and was sentenced to two years at hard labor by the courts of an intolerant Victorian society.

My opinion: A really great movie! It wasn’t what i was expecting but I really enjoyed it!!

Summary: A drama centered on the relationship between a young man and a transgender man.
My opinion: Very good, I got really attached to the main character (Lukas) which is always a plus to movies. Trigger warning for transphobia. (Also it’s in German so if you don’t speak German and aren’t able to follow subtitles easily keep that in mind)

My opinion: Really fantastic book! I haven’t finished it yet, but I’ve loved what I’ve read so far!

More Happy Than Not
